BOX GIFT IDEAS!! The Body Shop, Yves Rocher, Essence

hola guys!

This post is all about boxes! I find a box with products is always a good and interesting gift for friends, family etc! It is quite fascinating opening a box and trying to guess what's inside. So here are my 3 affordable suggestions.

The first box is from The Body Shop and its cost is about 21euros.
I really like how the simplicity of this box and how well everything is organized inside. I also believe that the price is very good when you consider all the products included. To start off, all the products of this box are made with Shea butter, which is the butter of the nut of the African Shea tree, which contains Vitamin A, perfect for the skin.

Starting on the left you can see the Shea Shower Cream. As written on the bottle it is a soap-free cleanser with Shea butter. It has light and bit sweet smell. The bottle contains 250ml.
Next one is the Shea Sugar Body Scrub. It is interesting how it is made by Shea sugar and the texture feels like actual sugar. The smell is the same as the shower cream, but just a bit more intense. The package includes 50ml.
Next up is the Body Butter from this series. I think it is one of my favourites as it is really soft but also feels really refreshing after you apply it on your skin. The smell is here again quite light and the package contains 50ml.
Lastly included in your box are a soft sponge and a 100g Shea soap.

The second box is on the romantic side cost about 20euros. It is the Limited Edition box by Yves Rocher called comme une Evidence. As you can see it is pink also on the inside and on the back of the box there is a special note describing the products. As written they are light and fresh and remind you of nature smells like Rose Damascena, always with a feminine touch.
So those smells you can find in all three products. I would say they are distinctive flowery smells perfect for the spring time.

The first product is the perfume comme une Evidence, L’eau de Parfum. A cute and simple bottle containing a big amount of the product.
The next one is the comme une Evidence perfumed body lotion which I really, really like. Its smell is quite lighter than the other two and feels so refreshing on the skin. The bottle contains 50ml.
Lastly is the comme une Evidence perfumed shower gel. Here the smell is a bit more intense but still girly and flowery. This bottle also contains 50ml.
The only negative about this package is that the bottles have a big opening on the top and not an applicator which sometimes makes it difficult to get the product out. And when lying on a horizontal position on the other hand the liquid products can go out even with the cap closed.

The last box is a little cute Essene make up box. Its name is How to make your face glow and its part of a series of Essence boxes. The other ones include How to make smokey eyes box or How to make nude eyes etc. I chose this one because I think it is a perfect time now that Spring is here to focus on natural but glowing face. On the package it says that this make-up box contains a bronzer, a highlighter, a blush, a brush applicator and an easy step by step tutorial to create a perfect glow for your face.

When you open the box you see a cute little mirror, the bronzer “sun kissed” , the highlighter “glow it up!” and the blush “hello rosy” and the small brush applicator. Behind the mirror there are also instructions on how to achieve the glow make up step by step. The box costs 5-6 euros.

On the whole, I find these boxes really cute and perfect gift ideas!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Take care!! xx

  2. Hi Rachel! This is Beatriz Von Tischen, big fan of your blog :) Thanks for these suggestions, they do look like perfect little presents! I also wanted to ask for your opinion in some matter related to butters and creams: I'm having trouble finding a good night cream to complete my facial daily care and I wanted to know if you've tried any that you particularly liked? Also if you knew of any good make up removal alcohol-free product? Thanks a lot in advance :) xx (I'm apparently also having trouble posting my comment haha)

    1. Hi there! Sorry for responding so late but I was on holidays in Greece and wasn't that often online. I'm glad you like my blog and for sure I'll tell you my opinion on some products! As make up removal I'd suggest the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Night Calming (http://www.neutrogena.com/product/makeup+remover+cleansing+towelettes+-+night+calming.do) or the Garnier Micellar Water (http://www.garnier.co.uk/skin-care/beauty/garnier/garnier-essentials/micellar-cleansing-water). But you have to always be careful around the eyes, because they could still burn even though it's alcohol-free. What I personally use is the bebe cleaning products, which I'm sure you'll get to know when you come to Berlin (https://www.bebe.de/produkte/gesichtsreinigung/3in1_erfrischende_reinigungstuecher). Together with these Towelettes I use the alcohol free Cleaning Water from Balea (dm Product) just for the eyes (http://www.dm.de/de_homepage/balea_home/balea_produkte/balea_produkte_gesichtspflege_und_reinigung/balea_produkte_gesichtspflege_basispflege_trockene_sensible_haut/7530/balea-pflegendes-gesichtswasser.html). As for the night cream I would honestly say that I don't use any as I prefer for the time being just a good moisturizing cream which I use 3times per day (morning, before makeup and night). For a good price you could again check the creams of bebe young care, I use the one with green tea (https://www.bebe.de/produkte/gesichtspflege/). A bit more pricey are the products of Yves Rocher, a brand I really like, which are all made of natural ingredients. Here is a list of their night creams (http://www.yves-rocher.co.uk/control/skin-care/night-creams/) but also a list depending on your skin type (http://www.yves-rocher.co.uk/control/skin-care/skin-care-by-skin-type/). I hope I could help you even a bit. I will be making some research on moisturizing creams for a future post! Take care and hope to see you soon! xx
